Dunnington, YorkWhat a gem. Great exterior decor. Easy parking in layby. Inside looks clean & fresh. Friendly staff, food cooked to order. Limited menu.
Only a couple of tables but one was free. Food served piping hot. Great batter & scraps. Reasonable sized portion. Fish lovely & white & tasted fresh.
Surprisingly good fish & chips.

The Bothy
Dean's Garden Centre, Stockton Ln, Stockton on the Forest, YorkWe came here to have a look around the garden centre and after that we ventured into the Bothy;
A sizable cafe with a great selection to choose from, the service was good, the food was very nice and overall, a very pleasant experience!

Costa Coffee
Monks Cross, Kiosk 3, Vangarde Retail Park, Martello Way, HuntingtonThis is far the best Costa Coffee shop of them all. I come here almost every weekend,- The atmosphere is lovely, warm and inviting the staff are friendly and efficient they are very attentive it is very clean too - A big shout out to Alex and Nicole they really make you feel welcome and it is a lovely vibe where you can just sit and enjoy a nice drink and a bite to eat, you are not rushed at all and nothing is too much trouble, they will assist you in any way. These two need a promotion though dont let them leave, they always know what my order is and make it perfect everytime, everyone is made to feel welcome

Monks Cross Dr, Huntington, YorkMy experience at Pear Tree Farm was amazing, the food was delicious. The staff were also extremely helpful with the service and it wasnt too busy at all which meant we had gotten our food rapidly.

M&S Café
Unit A, Vangarde Retail Park, Martello Way, Huntington, YorkJust had the best veggie breakfast in a very long time. Avo, Halloumi, two whole poached eggs that look like boiled eggs, hash browns, beans, toast and a field mushroom.
I had a coffee as well. The staff were excellent, especially Eddie who is always a pleasure to deal with. The place was spotless.

Highwayman Cafe
A64, A64, YorkHighwayman Cafe didn't let us down. Four of us came here for a Sunday breakfast after a disppointing experience elsewhere the day before. It was 10ish, busy with cars and people outside, but plenty of seats in and not a long wait. Friendly staff. The food was amazing, with tweaks to the traditional breakfast done to suit our adjustments/dislikes. It finished off our weekend away with friends nicely before we parted ways. We will definitely return in future.
