Everything was cooked well and was hot when we got it it and we didn’t wait very long considering it was quite busy. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very good??keep up the good work ??

Cookfella's Wine Bar & Eatery
2 Westgate, GuisboroughAmazing food! Was really impressed with the quality and favours. The menu has a great selection of options for all tastes (possibly too many as making a decision was hard :) ). The only slight negative would be the service was a little slow however I would wholeheartedly recommend the Cookfella’s and if we are in Guisborough again or passing, we will definitely return!

We booked for my 50th birthday as we was on a short break in the area .
When booking on line was asked if it was a special occasion so we said for a 50th birthday.
The lady who was serving was polite but had no charisma the lady made no effort to ask about my birthday even though I had a badge on aswell. Would definitely go back for the food but maybe staff need to cheer up a bit .

Fox Inn
Bow St, GuisboroughHad a wonderful stay at the Fox Inn for a wedding last week.
Special mention to Linda who was incredibly welcoming and managed to get my room prepared at such short notice. She rescued my whole day!
The room was perfect, comfy bed and great facilities :)

Fast Food Outlet, Middlesbrough Rd, GuisboroughThe nicest branch of Subway in the local area, in my humble opinion! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food always tastes very fresh and highly recommended!
The only slight negative point to say is the inside is always incredibly warm and I wish there was air conditioning there, it would be uncomfortable to sit inside and eat.
Parking: Free parking outside, several disabled parking spaces close to the entrance, blue badge required to use them
Wheelchair accessibility: Main entrance is a manual door which is quite heavy, wheelchair users would need assistance gaining access so would be better using the Drive Thru

Costa Coffee
Unit 1, 25/35 Westgate, GuisboroughAlthough this is a 'standard' Costa coffee shop, we are lucky in Guisborough to have a lovely barista called Claire. She seems to be there every day, she is always so cheerful and she makes everyone feel welcome. She often volunteers to bring your order to your table as well, which is a lovely touch.

Welcome Inn Chinese Restaurant
39 Church St, GuisboroughExcellent food, I’ve been searching for a proper Hot & Sour Soup in many Chinese takeaways in the area and at last I’ve found it, the Szechuan Hot and Sour soup was remarkable, flavourful and intense. 10 out of 10 to the chef. The Thai Red Curry was just superb. Just found the best Chinese takeout in Guisborough. Thank you for livening up my tastebuds again.

Doveito is a good Pizza shop with decent food that is hot most of the time, ready most of the time, what you ordered most of the time but that is the problem. Depending on how busy they are depends on which of the above you get. As they get busy the service goes down. If they could keep the consistency in the busy times they wold be a better business for it.

Thingy-ma-jigs Cafe
5 Bow St, GuisboroughI visited today for the first time, having planned to visit for a while I can say that it was well worth the visit. As a coeliac it gave me peace of mind that everything was 100% gluten free and there was no risk of cross contamination. I had the tomato, mozzarella and pesto panini and it was delicious and I even got some muffins to take home. I definitely recommend this little cafe for anyone coeliac or not xx

First class food and looked after by wonderful staff, today Claire was great looking after us. To top it off all meals are cooked fresh and a very good price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…

We both had a strawberry milkshake made with ice cream not powder, then I had homemade soup ( parmesan and bacon) and the wife had prawn cocktail. The actual Sunday lunches were lovely, I don't eat vegetables so they gave me extra potatoes, both meals were fantastic! Great service, very friendly and attentive! Definitely going back

2 Fountain St, GuisboroughJust ordered two dirty stripper burgers with fries. Tasted lovely, especially the hash brown,best so far. My 13 year old son had the wagyu (he loves his steaks) he said it tasted better than steak,he ordered extra fries to fill him though. Manager was fantastic. Will definitely be ordering for delivery again soon, ended up cheaper than McDonald's or burger king and much more filling.

Whilst we were there some fresh scones were taken out of the oven, the smell was too good so had to take 2 away for later.

145 Westgate, Guisborough8 of us In the area for a wedding, we ended up in the Ship Inn and got there just in time for karaoke. The staff and locals were very friendly. Good choice of beers and very reasonable prices. We had a great night, and we apologise for our terrible signing. ??

The service was great very friendly staff. The quiche was absolutely delicious topped off with a lovely bottle of wine girly lunch will definitely be back.

82 Church St, GuisboroughWe come here for my daughters birthday as she loves a chippy meal! These meals didn’t disappoint there was so much food it could fed the 5 of us! My daughters had a meal deal where they got a drink too the portions were huge. Fish was lovely fresh well cooked melted in your mouth chips were gorgeous best chips round! The curry sauce was exactly how chip shop curry should be! My daughters loved their meals want to come back soon thank you xx

De Brus Bar & Grill @ Gisborough Hall
Gisborough Hall, Whitby Lane, GuisboroughJust returned from a night at Gisborough Hall with my wife for our 15th wedding anniversary. We stayed in the rose suite (room 125) and it was spectacular. Room was well laid out with great facilities and a very comfortable four poster bed. Bathroom was again huge with freestanding bath tub and shower cubicle. Great views out of the window over the tennis courts and hills beyond. Staff were excellent and a special mention for Zak in the bar who makes excellent cocktails. Food was incredible and great portion sizes. Hotel was clean throughout and staff were happy to help through our entire stay. Breakfast was equally good with a large choice from cereals, fruit, continental selection and cooked options. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending the hotel (and in particular one of the suites we stayed in) and would happily come back again.

Noteworthy details: Visited the Globe theatre for a football personality night which was great but spoilt slightly by the small neanderthal element also present.
