Stopped off here for some grub and refreshments after a winter walk and we all loved the intimate, old-world atmosphere. Good choice of ales and while the food was relatively basic it was just the ticket. There are a couple of cosy eating rooms and the bar area has a couple of roaring fires which were very welcoming.
A warm welcoming fire kicked off our lunch date with friends. Ryan, the landlord was amiable and accommodating, on arrival. The food was well cooked, hot and tasty. It’s good pub food without the pretensions of some places, reasonably priced .Nothing was left on our plates. Great selection of beers too. I would highly recommend the pub , our friends had never been before and loved it. We wish Ryan , his wife and the team all the best.

We stumbled upon this cosy pub after a long walk in the country. And as soon as we walked in, we knew we’d hit the jackpot. It is THE most welcoming pub we’ve been to for a very long time. The landlords came and sat with us by the fire and we played cards for hours, laughing the night away. We’re going back tomorrow. Our new favourite pub.
