Lovely pub, staff are great and very welcoming and polite. We eat here often because hubby loves the fish and chips but this is the first Sunday lunch we've had as a family. Can't fault it, fabulous value for money, portions are very large and the meat was beautiful, the beef melted in the mouth as did the pork...and the crackling was cracking . We visited after talking to a local and we weren’t disappointed it’s a very small pub but the beer and the staff were fantastic. We got chatting to the landlord and chef and they were extremely welcoming and the smell from the kitchen was fantastic we were shown the menu and the chef was very passionate about what he produced telling us what was going to be the special. The Staff are great and very attentive. Food is well above the average pub selection. The only comment I would make; is the decor is a bit dated and could do with an uplift. Otherwise very enjoyable.
