32 Church St, Giggleswick, SettleStopped nearby for a week, used the black horse most days. All sports shown, so watched the footy 2 nites, decent beer selection and quality food from the kitchen. Had a good vibe with local sports teams coming in post games, if your in the area well worth a visit, cheers Mark

The Knights Table
Little Stainforth, SettleFabulous afternoon with friends and family for our annual catch up. The food & service were brilliant. We had booked in advance due to the size of our party and pre-ordered our mains, which we were more than happy to do. With a member of our party expecting we asked for a well done beef dinner and this was done without fuss. There were clean plates all round and still managed to sample to dessert menu, which again was fantastic, great portion sizes with both meals. Also must add that it was inexpensive, which makes eating out with friends and family (including young children) all the more enjoyable. All in all top star quality at an affordable price.

16 Church St, SettleGreat chippy. Especially loved the curry sauce. 2 of our party said the chips were soggy, but the rest said they were perfect... I guess soggy chips were the older batch. The fish was good, but no cod. Price was cheap.

The Folly Coffee House & Licenced Cafe
Victoria St, SettleThe food is good, especially the cakes. Very good gluten free selection of cakes. For food they do gluten free sandwiches but the bread did have seeds in it which could be an allergen for some people, so I think plain GF bread would be better. The atmosphere amongst the cafe was incredibly chaotic both times I visited. It felt like nobody really knew what their job was despite having many members of staff. However, the service was pleasant so it didn't really matter.

Talbot Arms
High St, SettleWow what a lovely pub! We have discovered our favourite beer in here. As Guinness lovers, we were intrigued to try the Timothy Taylors Dark and we were not disappointed! It's gorgeous! We also had a great laugh and sing a long with the live singer and a few more pints the following day after the walk up to the caves. The food looked lush when being served around us. 100% recommend this pub! Friendly staff, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Also a lovely large beer garden out back and complimentary dog treats/water bowls readily available.

17 Market Pl, SettleWe visited the cafe twice, once for full English breakfasts and then for lunch another day. All the food was fresh, hot and very tasty. The cafe has a nice, classic feel and really friendly service, a good selection of meals and being dog friendly was perfect for us. Will happily go again and might have to try their cakes...

5, The Shambles, SettleWe were lucky to get booked in as they had turned away others that evening and were very busy. There was a bit of a wait for our food but it was delicious- would definitely recommend the lamb dish. Started with a sharing platter but didn't have room for dessert- very relaxed despite being busy. Its a very small restaurant tucked under the arches or old cellars with parking round about the market square.

14 Church St, SettleSolid Chinese take away food! Big portions at a good price. We got beef and broccoli, hot and sour soup, fried rice, and chips and curry sauce. Everything tasted good and was what you expect from a British, Chinese takeout restaurant.

17 Duke St, SettleDelightful!We have wanted to dine at the Little House Restaurant for a long time but unfortunately our previous visits to the area have been mid week when they are closed. This time we travelled later so managed to get a table on the Saturday night. It was definitely worth waiting for! Upon entering we were warmly greeted, seated, given water & menus by Andrew, the owner who straight away makes you feel like an old friend. Situated in a lovely building with only a small number of covers, it exudes a wery nice, friendly, comfortable atmopshere with some nice, low key jazz playing quietly in the background. Drinks order taken whilst we perused the menu. Charcuterie platter of cured meats & parmesan & garlic King Prawns 'piri-piri' chosen to start followed by baked fillet of silver hake with lentil & vegetable cassoulet & pan fried fillet of Ribble Valley beef with a cracked black pepper, cognac & cream sauce along with a very nice bottle of red wine. A wonderful dessert named Yorkshire Mess consisting of rhubarb, meringue & all the associated creamy bits was shared as was a glass of delightful dessert wine. The timings between courses were perfect. The chef came out & we had a lovey chat with her during which we discovered a slight connection to our home town of Beverley. All in all, an extremely enjoyable, unrushed evening with great friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere & most of all, delicious food! We noticed that a lot of the diners appeared to be regulars with several making bookings for future dates which is alays a good sign of a decent restaurant.Highly recommended.**We travel to Greece quite a lot & noticed that on the first weekend of the month, The Little House present a menu influenced by different countries. The next one is a Greek evening & even though we live a couple of hours away, we have booked a table for this as the menu looked very inviting!

Ruchee Restaurant
Unit 9/Commercial Yard/Duke St, SettleRuchee is one of my favourite all time places to eat. Is an award winning restaurant that serves traditional Bangladeshi food and dishes that many might be more familiar with. The friendly and expert staff are happy to advise. They’ll do a decent omelette and chips if necessary! The range and quality of food is excellent. The service is fast but not rushed. The prices are very reasonable. Remember that Ruchee doesn’t have an alcohol license but bringing your own is welcomed and this takes the sting out of the bill. Mr Ali is a great guy and takes a real pride in his restaurant and always ensures that things run smoothly. His team always have a smile on their face and a friendly greeting. It’s an excellent venue for couples through to large parties. It’s also a comfortable place to eat on one’s own. It’s very popular so it’s good to book ahead although the team can often find you a a table if you don’t. In summary, Ruchee is a brilliant place to eat, has a great atmosphere (especially when it’s busy) and deserves its many accolades.

Ye Olde Naked Man Café
2 Market Pl, SettleWe are travelling from York to the lakes for the bank holiday weekend and stopped off in Settle for brunch. What a delightful find this fabulous cafe was! Great choice of freshly made food, sandwich and soup offer was delicious! All the staff that we interacted with gave fabulous customer service but I must mention Emily who was particularly delightful! Thank you team, great job! We were so busy chatting I didn't take any photographs, but I would highly recommended Ye Olde Naked Man ❤️
