Great atmosphere! Beautiful place! Nice people! Highly recommended! We just had a couple of drinks and relaxed after traveling from Manchester on our way to Malham Cove. They even offered to drive us to our accommodations for the night, since we were having trouble getting a taxi.
On our aborted trip to the Isle of Man we were granted accommodation on Saturday afternoon. We really liked the hotel and the staff was very friendly. The guests and the live music were great too. Thank you for the help in need and now 5 stars are awarded. Greetings from Germany, Joe and Lothar.

After many times of driving down the A65 through to the Lake District we decided to make a stop off (finally) at the Maypole that we have always thought looked lovely every time we passed it. Today we tried it and had a lovely lunch. Steak and Ale pie is a must - lovely and filling and the Brie bites to start were delicious. Lovely staff, attentive and checking in on us at the right moments. Thanks !
