Stayed here for one night and honestly as cheap as a travelodge but better! Love the no frills spoons vibe and tea and breakfast nice and cheap ?Rooms: Lovely big room small bathroom but everything you'd need however the room I stopped in had a fixed shower that was way too low. The plumber must have been very short. This is a Witherspoons pub. It's was busy for a Wednesday, but there were lots of available tables. We got served quickly. The food was nice and hot. The table was a bit shabby with years of being wiped and cleaned, and the door to the beer garden didn't shut properly when some went out to smoke. So next time we won't sit near the doors. Staff were friendly, and we enjoyed our brief visit

We stopped here for some food on the way to Harrogate. We ordered a "Chargrilled" half chicken and mash and a Katsu curry. The food took 45 minutes to arrive. The chicken looked grey, slightly anaemic, and was pretty horrid. The mash was clearly microwaved/powdered.
