A dated and tired interior and a menu that was trying to be something it's not, with underwhelming food. The attempt to garnish my fish and chips as if it were on MasterChef led to cold mushy peas dotted with spots of tartar sauce and micro herbs. Sad, since the fish was actually really good apart from the flavour of old oil on the batter.

We visited with our family and were made to feel very welcome. Great selection of drinks available. Looking at the pictures on other reviews the decor and seating has been renovated and improved. Is also dog friendly.Parking: Free parking at the front and side of the venue.Kid-friendliness: Children were very welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: On ground level with ample access

We rang last minute and was told they stopped serving food at 7 but we couldn’t get there till half past 7, they made an exception for us and from there on nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious, the service fantastic and the place itself looks wonderful, we had a good chat and they told us they’d only had it for 3 weeks but it feels like a place that’s been there forever, absolutely wonderful place with wonderful staff, and the food is to die for, if we are...read full review
