Linton Lock House, Linton-on-Ouse, YorkThis is a very welcoming and fun place with really good food. Wendy, who runs it, is a star. She is a most professional host but is evidently treasured for her warmth and wit. The cooking is great, the portions generous and the prices very reasonable. For boaters there are visitor moorings a few steps from the front door and there is excellent dog walking. This is a pub not to be missed!
