The food was fantastic however the wait on food was an hour as there was no chef but we weren't told this until we asked where the food was. When the food did finally arrive it was fantastic quality and tasty, it was just a shame they weren't telling the customers that there could be a wait. They did give us a free round of soft drinks as an apology. The pub is dog friendly which is great and the location is perfect if your visiting the centre of Whitby.

Booked a family room but wouldn’t recommend the venue for families with children who need sleep before midnight on a Friday night. It was literally the best price for the town and, to be fair, it’s easy to see why. The decor is very weary albeit clean bedding and towels, the breakfast was acceptable except the sausage which was one of those tasteless things that I just don’t like at all.We wouldn’t choose to stay again.
