Prompt friendly service. Excellent menu. We had scrambled eggs and granary toast, nicely presented and good value for money. Good range of cakes on display and given its location opposite York Minster reasonably priced. Comfortable seating and friendly atmosphere.
I went to York Christmas market today and popped in for a cup of tea and tea cake , the staff were very friendly and service was good . My main gripe is the ladies toilets , they are very dirty , the doors don’t look as though they have been cleaned in a very long time, and the stairs bannister rail is very tacky so obviously not cleaned either ? Sorry for this review but the toilets let you down .

Staff: I would give six stars out of five! The two women were very friendly, lovely, and simply delightful. Food: We ordered a scone with cream and jam each! The best! It was yummilicous! Ambience: It was busy, but it was a “pleasant” kind of busy. The classical music was great, not too loud so, you can still have a conversation without having to shout. It was really nice! Definitely a must visit!
