This is, by far, THE best fish and chip shop in York. The owner is clearly passionate about the quality of the food that leaves the shop as the previous reviews will testify.The fish is cooked to perfection and not greasy like some places I’ve been and the portion sizes are completely to blame for my bulging waistline ?Also the staff are chatty and I am always greeted with a happy smiling face whenever I visit.Keep up the good work.
Stopped by while working in area, I got a fish butty. It was on the expensive side £6+ but it was worth itGood portion as you can see from picture, batter was crispy and just right not like some places wet, greasy or flat.Very much like our batter at home locals...... If you're from Manchester you won't like it.Staff were great, chatty and excellent service

I went here cos my mum said it was good ! It was , I enjoyed the bread rolls cos I am northern, and fish and chips , the fish was cooked well and the chips were nice , I also had a potatoe cake witch I think was home made and was also large and very nice especially for 70p .
