Visited last Tuesday evening with work colleagues and was surprised how busy it was.I'm glad we booked. The service was excellent. The food was AMAZING. Great menu selection. I had the vegan ravioli. I ate every bit and could have had more it was so good. Loved the atmosphere, and the building is just full of charm and character. I'm really looking forward to coming back soon.Vegetarian options: Vegan options too.
Absolutely fantastic post theatre early evening meal. Cannot remember the last time I enjoyed every part of a meal as much as this. The lamb cutlets were probably the best I’ve ever eaten and the cheeseboard, which comes with a rather nice glass of port, was a delight! We will be back (as soon as possible!)

Wow! What a stunning interior you find when you get indoors and the food matches up too! Delicious meal from the set menu on Sunday evening ? gem if a find and I'd say the tastiest meal from 3 over our long weekend stay. 1st port of call if I'm ever back in York. 5* all round guys!
