A true East Yorkshire hidden GEM. I was doing a walk and we stopped in the village, we had pre ordered our food, but this did not take anything away from the quality of the service. We were welcomed on our entry by very attentive staff, who asked how the walk had been and answered every question asked by the group. The range of beers was good and reasonably priced. Went for a meal last night while staying locally on our holiday and the food was excellent. Homemade pies made and cooked perfectly. The landlord keeps a good cellar and the Theakston went down a treat. Staff where very friendly and happy in their work. A lovely evening!

Wonderful pub with really friendly staff.We stayed for tea when we were on a three day hike. The food was lovely, the chicken and ham pie was marvellous, with chicken gravy which was outstanding!Will definitely come back to this lovely pub again when we travel through.Thank you!
