We love this place!! It's weird, quirky and absolutely oozes atmosphere. We live an hour and a half away near Lincoln but come several times a year and never, ever regret making the journey. The beer is great (though I wish they'd stock 'Old Peculiar!) and the food excellent. I could rave on for hours about the food, actually. What a little gem of a place this is. Only sat outside for a drink as we had the dog who are only allowed in at non-food times (which is good) but had a look round inside and its so quirky and welcoming. Food also looked amazing. Will definitely go back.

Very very popular and luckily we got the last available table. Really need to get there for opening time or pre book if possible,? Especially if you want to be by a roaring fire. Our meals were first class, very tasty Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and a very good chicken in a brandy and Stilton sauce with loads of very tasty cooked veg.
