We had an absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch at this pub with our family. The quality was high and the portions very generous. A great range of beers and wine. We will definitely be returning!Parking: Plenty of parking behind the pub.
It isn't hard to understand how this place gets a Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor. Really good quality tasty food, served piping hot, (to us a sign of a well run kitchen). Even the portions seem to have increased since our last visit! We thoroughly enjoyed the steak pie and fish and chips and one of us (me) couldn't manage a dessert, having already polished off a starter. One of my favourite pubs in and around York. Whether it’s the Sunday roast (pictured) or their usual dinner / lunch menu - the food is always fantastic!Great service to match and the owner(s) always make sure everyone feels really welcome.
