I had a Haunch of Venison in a red wine jus which was excellent - very tasty indeed. I also ordered some broccoli as a side dish.Once I started to eat it I began to remember that the broccoli was supposed to come with flaked almonds but there were no almonds. The food here was OK, but nothing more. The online menu implies there’s good vegetarian choice, but the ravioli was not on the menu we were given on arrival, unfortunately. That left two hot dishes, and one of us ordered the Panang curry, while the other three in our party ordered the Doubletree “beyond meat” veggie burger. After being told we couldn’t book for 7pm as there was a large party in we expected a busy restaurant but it wasn’t, The service is very questionable. No check backs No would you like sauces No cutlery for dessert until the ice cream was melted. Waiter was unaware which burger was which. No prompt for more drinks had to ask every time.
