First trip to York in 5 years. Been to this pub several times since it openedGreat location at York Railway station and superb range of real ales. A very attractive building with a circular central bar lined with handpumps. Outside covered seating on the platform side. Forty plus years ago it was said York has a pub for every day of the year. Wasn't expecting much with it being attached to the station but was pleasantly surprised. Good beer, good service and all the atmosphere that you expect with the hustle and bustle of a transport hub.

We didnt get any food so can't rate it, the atmosphere was like any other pub, the only thing I found disgusting was the smell in the toilets, the what I'm hoping was water on the floor. It smelt nicer and was more presentable to use the train station toilets on the
