Oak Leaf Restaurant

I was pulling in to garage for coffee and sandwich, when I saw the adjacent Oak Leaf Restaurant. I had a look and went in.
I was impressed by the fact they had a ramp and an automatic opening door.

I got a seat and menu.
The menu was extensive and reasonably priced.
I ordered a 6oz rump steak, well done. It was excellent. Some places if you order well done, you get a steak that seems it came of the sole of a leather shoe.
The meal was excellent, very tasty and quickly served.
I decided to try the apple crumble with custard and ice cream. I couldn't fault what I got.
All together, main course, sweet and 7up came to total of £23.80 sterling, which i thought was reasonable compared to other restaurants i had recently visited.
Would I go back ?
Most definitely
Would i recommend?
Most definitely and have already done so.

Nearly forgot to add, the music, for me anyway, was excellent selection of rock/pop.

The Country Cafe

had lunch one day with the kids, mammy and my nephews, the food was 10/10! the fish and chips near beat me there was that much food. staff are wonderful as well, catering for 9 people who just dandered in off the street. thank you, will be back soon!!

An Croí Coffee House & Bistro

Visited on a quiet day. Had pancakes and banana bread and they were delicious, although would have been nice to have a few more berries.

Service was a little slow but there was only 1 staff member.

Atmosphere - was quiet time so can’t really comment

Regans Bar

Six friends got together In Maghera for the weekend. We went into Regans bar for a few drinks on the Saturday afternoon. Great atmosphere in this wee pub and we were made very welcome by the owner.

Montgomery Nurseries & Garden Centre

This place is a little treasure. It's a delight to visit at any time of year. There's plenty of choice of flowers, plants and trees as well as koi fish and a great shop. There is a vast artificial flowers and plants store with everything you need to make them. The shop has lots of local bespoke creations of food and gifts. Cold water fish plus all supplies for tank etc. The staff are all lovely as well as knowledgeable and friendly. It's well worth a visit!

Silver Hill Restaurant & Wine Bar

Stopped here on way to belfast Saturday past for a quick lunch and it was lovely had two soups nd sandwiches nd was very nice , the three girls on the floor were very helpfull and well trained , highly recommend for a handy wee stop

Joe's Pizza House

I absolutely love this place, I get the same thing every week and have been getting it for over a year now. For 7.50 you get 15-25 pieces of salt n chilli chicken, so much chips, 2 naan and 2 dips of your choice. Honestly Try it best thing ever! Will continue to buy from here for years.

Nosh Cafe

First time at this cafe was lovely frendly staff , I had roast beef dinner an partner had fish and chips couldn't fault it will definitely be back thankyou ?

Kearney's Bar

Don't be fooled by it's modest appearance from the outside, this is simply a fantastic pub. The night we were there a group of regulars were playing a brilliant 80's playlist and the atmosphere was amazing.This is one of the best pubs I have ever been in. Don't miss it.

Bowies Chip Shop

Cheeseburger, chicken goujons. Curry chip cheesy chip. No cheese on cheeseburger and very uncomfortable seats while waiting, other than that food was reasonably priced and delicious and I would recommend

Subway

Called in for a couple of salad boxes early evening. Such a lovely kind young gentleman serving. Was so focused on customer service. Really dedicated to offering the customer the choices. Nothing was too much bother. Five stars to him. Thank u. And the salads were first class.

Lucky Dragon

Great food the curry has been the best I've had in a long time...
Delivery was reasonable given this place is busy and given the standard of food it's no wonder that they are busy.

Was staying in mountain view lodges and Spa maghera which is also a fab place to stay.

Highly recommend both places and lucky dragon very handy for food and Delivery.

Top marks guys...

The Pizza Man

I’m absolutely outraged that the pizza man had whipped out a CHICAGO TOWN PIZZA right in front of my eyes and family! This is the first time I’ve seen a man also attempt to cook chips in the microwave keep in mind these were FROZEN! I also saw a 24 pack of Coke and it was sold in individual quantities for him to make more money keep in mind their had been a homeless man outside the shop BEGGING. He had offered my young boy a quickie for a tenner! Whatever that means??? Hopefully it was quicker than the food don’t get me started

Pagoda

This pagoda literally has the best salt and garlic crispy chicken you will ever put in your mouth it’s my favourite food and i dont understand why this place only has 3 stars it’s absolutely amazing? My favourite place to eat!
