Mary's Bar

Beautiful interior, cosy and nice lighting. Food was all lovely absolutely no complaints , super attentive staff so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended ?? definitely worth a visit for a drink and some lovely food.

Moss-Brook Food Stop

Their afternoon tea is absolutely wonderful - such a range of food and always checking if need any more. Great value for money and the owners are so friendly and nice. Best afternoon tea experience we all ever had and worth driving for. Just note they are only open on a Friday and Saturday. They will open early if they know a party is coming.

Slim's Healthy Kitchen

I’ve had to write so many awful reviews lately that I’ve more or less stopped… the few good places tend to be bunged (so can’t really handle any more praise), and there are just too many bad ones to keep up. There’s the odd exception though. Yesterday we found ourselves in Magherafelt (well… it was foggy, your Honour), desperately looking for somewhere inspiring to eat. Now I love a good fry, fish and chips etc, as much as the next man. Or possibly more. But what I really like to find is places that do something a little healthier, more exotic, whatever. And what a pleasant surprise Slim’s was. I had a delicious meal of strips of beef, stir-fried with a delicious sticky sauce, some vegetables etc (not on the online menu, and I can’t remember what it was called – a bit like teriyaki). My girlfriend struggles with certain food combinations, so couldn’t handle the specific way her Katsu curry was prepared – the waitress was unbelievably helpful, and got it redone in the kitchen. We loved this place. What stood out above all was the service – the young waitresses were the friendliest, most cheerful we’ve come across in a long time, and really left us smiling.

Mo & Ali’s

First ordered about 6mnths ago and wasn't impressed, meat was gritty. However, last couple of orders have been brilliant, very good quality. Wouldn't usually get a donner wrap, but finally got one and you definitely get your moneys worth. Top job

Taphouse Bar and Restaurant

Fabulous restaurant great for the Sunday lunch, only £21 for three courses which is great, salt and chilli chicken and the prawn cocktail starters are lovely. The beef dinner is different from the last time we were here but still great and the deserts were delish. Great sized portions and lovely

The Old Thatch Inn

Family meal for 8. We were seated in a lovely private corner which was very comfortable. All our mains went down well. I had goujons and garlic fries. We enjoyed the desserts - I had jam and coconut sponge with custard. Really friendly staff in a cute location. Will return! Thanks to everyone at the inn.

Snackbox Magherafelt

Get on the Southern Fried Chicken Burger. They got that game on point! Chips are great if you open the box really quick, like most skinny fries they get moist if you let them sweat in the box, that burger though, holy mother of all that is good and gracious.

Subway

It was busy but they had three staff on behind the counter and it was a slick operation.I’ve used here twice recently and been happy both times although the Apple and blackcurrant juice from the machine has been empty.The staff have been friendly as well and patient with a few customers who were pondering and changing their mind in the middle of a really busy period.

Sunny's

I ordered two mixed kebabs on rice with salad through the website. The portion size was excellent and I loved the range of veg in the salad. Really delicious meat and house sauce. My only issue was we ordered online, and most other kebabs in the area (Golden Chip, Mossas, Papa's Kitchen, Sphinx etc.) cover the kebab with a good amount of house sauce, here we were given very small pots of house sauce in the bag. However, when I realised it was quickly made to my (house sauce loving) taste by a member of staff. Can honestly say after trying Sunny's it is up there with my favourite kebabs (and I love a kebab!)

Domino's Pizza - Magherafelt

Great pizza. My 3 kids and I loved them.Also, what great staff who thoroughly enjoyed entertaining the kids with pizza dough throws and smiles ?..the kids loved itKid-friendliness: Staff were great with my crazies :)

The Lucky Dragon

Best Chinese in the local area. Their chicken curry is absolutely beautiful. Other favourites of theirs would be their chilli chicken wings, their house sauce chicken and I also love their snack box deals which are very hard to beat in terms of value. I recommend ordering in advance for your takeaway, especially at the weekend as they are usually very busy.

Great pizza and friendly staff. Only really go on Tuesday's though as they have a 2 for 1 offer on then. Other than that it can be a little bit expensive hence a star short of 5.

Coco Kiosk

Great pizza, good portion sizes, well worth a visitUPDATED for the Kiosk (Dec22) - got Bao Buns, chicken burger, cauliflower popcorn and dirty fries. Exceptional quality & taste. Magherafelt has lots of takeaways but with this menu and food the Kiosk will do very well!

Poets Corner Cafe

Went for the BLT and have to say the quality was unreal and not at the expense of a good portion size. Chocolate milkshake was lovely too and my girlfriend really enjoyed the Caesar wrap.

RICHARDSONS BAR

The owners are super friendly and helpful! Great place to visit. The kitchen has not opened after Covid, but you may bring food with you from other places and enjoy them there with whatever you like to drink!

DITTY'S CASTLEDAWSON

Great food, served quickly and perfectly cooked.The tables were clean and nothing was too much bother for the staff.I'd definitely recommend Ditty's for breakfast or lunch.

Service good, food was sll right. Prices average. Comfortable seating. Good choice on menu. Wpuld go again.Parking: Loads of parking adjacent, both on the street and in car park. Only 40p sn hour.

Jaco Bean Coffee House

Went for Lunch here today! Needed to a changed of scenery from studying at home. Enjoyed my latte and the Jacobean House burger. Had easy access to Wi-Fi and charging-facilities. Cosy atmosphere and staff were friendly. Can’t wait to come back and try the Taco Loaded fries.Parking: Open carpark and free!
