Bob & Berts Magherafelt

I regularly visit Bob and Berts Magherafelt, staff are friendly and would go out of their way for you, food never disappoints and overall, atmosphere is lovely. Lolita, Annie and Connor are always welcoming and make great coffee :)

Taphouse Bar and Restaurant

All 5 stars amazing food. Cheaper than anywhere in North Down. Lots of waiting staff so service is second to none. As much gravy and sauce as you want. Sunday roast was perfect size. Steaks were good. Desserts also great. Plenty of seats and table. Good drinks range including Guinness Zero on draught.

The Old Thatch Inn

Had my 50th birthday dinner here in January (on a monday) and it was amazing, food was excellent not 1 person was disappointed. Staff were excellent nothing was a bother for them.

Great food, great ambiance, and great service. Loved the taste, presentation, and overall vibe of the restaurant. The staff were very courteous. Definitely worth visiting

Slim's Healthy Kitchen

Outstanding, well cooked food. Well portioned and flavored. My only critic is that I feel so bad for the floor staff who are understaffed. They do a great crew but you can see they are under pressure which takes away from the guest experience. Highly recommended. Delicious and tasty.

Moss-Brook Food Stop

A hidden quirky little gem of a place. 5* for the warm welcome alone. They couldn’t do enough for us. Came for lunch with my mother who enjoyed all the old crockery & tea sets. The menu is again homely - burgers, toasties, sandwiches, soup. Like a warm hug on a cold winter’s day. Would definitely come back! Thank you ?

The Lucky Dragon

Only Chinese I eat out of. Chicken curry with extra chicken, no onions, portion of boiled rice and throw in a tin of peas and carrots from the spar around the corner. Need an extra tray to mix it up. Good to go.

Snackbox Magherafelt

After ordering here a few times, can only give positive reviews on all fronts. The delivery times are amazing and not the average around town (45 mins+), usually only taking under 20 minutes. The food is very tasty, especially that gravy sauce! Favourite meal so far is definitely the hobo supper with either some gravy or curry.

Their southern fried chicken is mouth watering and I can definitely recommend the Snackbox. If you're after nice fries, southern fried chicken, or just in general a nice takeaway experience? Can't go wrong.

It was busy but they had three staff on behind the counter and it was a slick operation.I’ve used here twice recently and been happy both times although the Apple and blackcurrant juice from the machine has been empty.The staff have been friendly as well and patient with a few customers who were pondering and changing their mind in the middle of a really busy period.

Domino's Pizza - Magherafelt

rocked up stoned a few times. food was deadly. prices were such a bargain. workers are fit (especially the one that looks like drake). happy to say I will be revisiting but do not be shocked if I try to sell you my shoes. I will be on mars.

Sunny's

I ordered two mixed kebabs on rice with salad through the website. The portion size was excellent and I loved the range of veg in the salad. Really delicious meat and house sauce. My only issue was we ordered online, and most other kebabs in the area (Golden Chip, Mossas, Papa's Kitchen, Sphinx etc.) cover the kebab with a good amount of house sauce, here we were given very small pots of house sauce in the bag. However, when I realised it was quickly made to my (house sauce loving) taste by a member of staff. Can honestly say after trying Sunny's it is up there with my favourite kebabs (and I love a kebab!)

Great looking Sunday lunch menu plenty of choice. Starter Bang bang chk v tasty with lite salad. We both got steak ribeye for myself and sirloin for hubby. It was nice to have the choice of what cut meats we preferred was pleasant to see.. Both steaks cooked to our liking accompanied with large side and veg. Hard to beat gorgeous.. We got greedy ordered the ferro rocha cheesecake again big portion (ain't complaining) but glad we shared one. Only regret that I didn't take any pics. Value for money here at very reasonable prices. Hats off to the chef

Calories Chinese Take Away

The Calorie has a variety of tasty dishes to choose from so you may find yourself staring at the menu for a while like myself BUT would highly recommend The Smoked Chicken ( Spicy ) its absolutely amazing

Ground Espresso Bars

Although it's always quote loud, my children love when we go upstairs so they can watch the world go by. They love their hot chocolate and cornflake mars buns. Great for a wee after school treat.

The pizzas were lovely, staff very friendly and accommodating. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is the price of sauce/dips £10 for 5 sauces/dips seemed quite high.

We called in for breakfast,and it was excellent,£21.00 for two frys and 2 teas. The staff were very friendly, and the service was quick and efficient. A great place for breakfast if you're ever in Bellaghy or passing through.

Absolutely loved our visit! The pub has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the owner/server went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Friendly, attentive, and full of personality—truly made the experience special. Great drinks, great service, great vibes. We’ll definitely be back!

RICHARDSONS BAR

The owners are super friendly and helpful! Great place to visit. The kitchen has not opened after Covid, but you may bring food with you from other places and enjoy them there with whatever you like to drink!

Chat & Chew Coffee House

We aren’t from the area so called in here for some breakfast.. nicest breakfast we have had to say the least. Coffee was 10/10 and the staff were so lovely. Such a lovely bunch of girls with great atmosphere about their work. Thank you so much

Homeplace Cafe

Got platters of sandwiches made for a christening, we offered to pick them up on saturday for convenience but they insisted on making them on Sunday morning to have them as fresh as possible. Really great quality, reasonably priced and helpful too.

DITTY'S CASTLEDAWSON

Seemingly always closed when I'm in town but it's a great bakery id recommend it above other bakery's and I have said so in my reviews of said bakery's. The fact there's a somewhat restaurant in the bakery is somewhat new and smart gives the fresh feel, all things sweet.

I'm from the US, but stopped in here a few years ago while walking across Ireland. The owners and bartender treated me like I was family. Supplying me with drinks, food, and a place to sleep. I visited 10 countries, hiked over 4000 miles, and cycled 2500 on that trip. When people ask me my favorite place I went, the answer is always Ireland/NI. When they ask why, I tell them because I loved the people, and then tell them about my time in Ardboe, Ballyronan, and The Cove Bar. Don't know if you remember me, but just wanted to say I still think about you guys often.

Got the bbq Pizza which was very nice. The base is crispy and all toppings were fresh. Garlic Mayo dip was lovely.Reasonable prices. Friendly staff and looks lovely and clean. Will definitely be back when passing by.??

Food is great, no complaints there but this is 2024 and they don't accept card payments for either delivery or in person. Get with the times and get a card machine - your custom will go up.

Chopsticks Chinese Desertmartin

I was staying in apartment last night and this place was recommended. I got a chicken satay and hands down the best I have had. Not a thick sauce as usual and had a great amount of spice. Thankyou, it was fab, I just wish you were nearer to my home town. The lady on the counter was lovely aswell

We got a big order with family over to cover 8 people we went here for the first time as all the Chineses was closed that was close to us and we tried happy garden for the first time and evey single person was happy taking all little details of the order in to account.. curry was mild that we asked for,chips were well done that we asked,great service by the 2 girls at the counter,great service our family will be definitely back.

First time in here and by far the best wee cafe I’ve ate in in a very long time. Meat was proper butchers, prices was excellent (actually couldn’t beleave how cheap for the quality) and all the staff are so polite and friendly. I definitely recommend anyone passing to stop in. I’ll definitely be back!

Mrs Browns fish and chips

I had chips, a pot of tea, bread and butter, service was quick and friendly the only downside was the boiled water for my tea was undrinkable due to an issue with drinking water in the Magherafelt area.
