Bob & Berts Magherafelt

I regularly visit Bob and Berts Magherafelt, staff are friendly and would go out of their way for you, food never disappoints and overall, atmosphere is lovely. Lolita, Annie and Connor are always welcoming and make great coffee :)

The Old Thatch Inn

Had my 50th birthday dinner here in January (on a monday) and it was amazing, food was excellent not 1 person was disappointed. Staff were excellent nothing was a bother for them.

Great food, great ambiance, and great service. Loved the taste, presentation, and overall vibe of the restaurant. The staff were very courteous. Definitely worth visiting

Moss-Brook Food Stop

A hidden quirky little gem of a place. 5* for the warm welcome alone. They couldn’t do enough for us. Came for lunch with my mother who enjoyed all the old crockery & tea sets. The menu is again homely - burgers, toasties, sandwiches, soup. Like a warm hug on a cold winter’s day. Would definitely come back! Thank you ?

Taphouse Bar and Restaurant

This is the best place around for food. Have been here 3 times in the last few weeks and each time food and service has been fabulous. It’s our go-to place for a great meal and to mark birthdays. Thanks to all the staff for making it so lovely.

Slim's Healthy Kitchen

Outstanding, well cooked food. Well portioned and flavored. My only critic is that I feel so bad for the floor staff who are understaffed. They do a great crew but you can see they are under pressure which takes away from the guest experience. Highly recommended. Delicious and tasty.

Snackbox Magherafelt

Stopped off at the Snack Box while shopping in Magherafelt. I was greeted by a friendly member of staff who promptly took my order.I ordered a portion of Cod for approx £6.50 and a tea to take out, spending under £10☆ The fish came with a side of salad or a few chips, I opted for the chips, I thought that was good value for money, The fish was delicious, very fresh and a generous portion, it was very tasty, the chips were thin chips not my favourite but we're lovely as well, so I'd say it was money well spent at The Snack Box Magherafelt, the Tea went down a treat as well 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ to The Snack BoxOn a side note, I noticed their burgers were fresh Butcher style burgers and not the frozen type, so I'll definitely pop in again to try one of those

The Lucky Dragon

Only Chinese I eat out of. Chicken curry with extra chicken, no onions, portion of boiled rice and throw in a tin of peas and carrots from the spar around the corner. Need an extra tray to mix it up. Good to go.

Domino's Pizza - Magherafelt

rocked up stoned a few times. food was deadly. prices were such a bargain. workers are fit (especially the one that looks like drake). happy to say I will be revisiting but do not be shocked if I try to sell you my shoes. I will be on mars.

Subway

It was busy but they had three staff on behind the counter and it was a slick operation.I’ve used here twice recently and been happy both times although the Apple and blackcurrant juice from the machine has been empty.The staff have been friendly as well and patient with a few customers who were pondering and changing their mind in the middle of a really busy period.

Sunny's

I ordered two mixed kebabs on rice with salad through the website. The portion size was excellent and I loved the range of veg in the salad. Really delicious meat and house sauce. My only issue was we ordered online, and most other kebabs in the area (Golden Chip, Mossas, Papa's Kitchen, Sphinx etc.) cover the kebab with a good amount of house sauce, here we were given very small pots of house sauce in the bag. However, when I realised it was quickly made to my (house sauce loving) taste by a member of staff. Can honestly say after trying Sunny's it is up there with my favourite kebabs (and I love a kebab!)

Calories Chinese Take Away

The Calorie has a variety of tasty dishes to choose from so you may find yourself staring at the menu for a while like myself BUT would highly recommend The Smoked Chicken ( Spicy ) its absolutely amazing

Ground Espresso Bars

Although it's always quote loud, my children love when we go upstairs so they can watch the world go by. They love their hot chocolate and cornflake mars buns. Great for a wee after school treat.

The pizzas were lovely, staff very friendly and accommodating. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is the price of sauce/dips £10 for 5 sauces/dips seemed quite high.

District 45 Restaurant

Food was fantastic. We all went for steak, perfectly cooked.
Staff are top class, very friendly and approachable.

We had absolutely fabulous culinary experience here at ByThe Way Bistro, where we enjoyed traditional homemade polish cuisine.
Amazing, tasty food made from scratch with localy sourced high quality ingredients. A lot of love and care added to every single dish. SuperB service by these two fabulous chefs, who are doing their job with passion.

Chat & Chew Coffee House

A great find, the food is freshly prepared and delicious. Extensive menu which is great value and the kids menu didn’t disappoint either. The staff were extremely friendly and pleasant also. Whether you want just a coffee & bun or a fry up I would highly recommend.

A nice bakery and cafe in the centre of Castledawson.
Have used for breakfast and coffee with pastries with both great.

The bakery is lovely with well prepared high quality items.

Well worth the visit with a detour off the main road only taking a few minutes.

The Market Inn Draperstown

Absolutely loved our visit! The pub has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the owner/server went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Friendly, attentive, and full of personality—truly made the experience special. Great drinks, great service, great vibes. We’ll definitely be back!

Poets Corner Cafe

Very nice breakfast, had the Soda Stack and an Americano coffee. Gorgeous food, very nicely cooked and presented. Coffee strong and good. Highly recommended! Staff were great.

RICHARDSONS BAR

The owners are super friendly and helpful! Great place to visit. The kitchen has not opened after Covid, but you may bring food with you from other places and enjoy them there with whatever you like to drink!

We got a big order with family over to cover 8 people we went here for the first time as all the Chineses was closed that was close to us and we tried happy garden for the first time and evey single person was happy taking all little details of the order in to account.. curry was mild that we asked for,chips were well done that we asked,great service by the 2 girls at the counter,great service our family will be definitely back.

Dorman's Bar

In for a meal today with my husband I got roast beef dinner and my husband got turkey and ham absolutely delicious and large helping, the Yorkshire pudding was home made and it tasted amazing, staff so friendly and helpful. Thank you

Got the bbq Pizza which was very nice. The base is crispy and all toppings were fresh. Garlic Mayo dip was lovely.Reasonable prices. Friendly staff and looks lovely and clean. Will definitely be back when passing by.??

Homeplace Cafe

Got platters of sandwiches made for a christening, we offered to pick them up on saturday for convenience but they insisted on making them on Sunday morning to have them as fresh as possible. Really great quality, reasonably priced and helpful too.

Cosy Corner Bar

What a great wee jem of a bar. Family owned Great pint of Guinness, friendly atmosphere very cosy so what a great name, Great Irish traditional bar with music and good Craic. If your driving passed call in.

Frankies Pizza Shop

It was past 8pm and we were on the way back to our place, we asked the staff at the Gas station up the road if they know of a place for good chips , they said just down the road " Frankie's Pizza Shop " it's the one with the blue front. Sausage and Chips with gravy and onions for me , My Brother had a 9 inch pizza . The service was great and friendly, the food was delicious, and generous. Kind of place that gives you hope for humanity. I thank them from the bottom of my heart ❤️. Today for breakfast I heated up in a frying pan the rest of my food , I am set for the day , lovelyDietary restrictions: I found the staff helpful.

The Step Inn

Our on-spec decision to have a bite at the bar last on Saturday evening was the right choice. The bar staff were professional, friendly and efficient. I had the nachos, without the chilli and I can honestly say they were the best I've ever had....and that's been in a few different (lucky me) countries. The chef made sure to mix all the ingredients and not just plonk everything on top. Check them out for yourself.

Slim's Cafe

This is smallish cafe, quite unpretentious, but very popular.
This is why, we paid, I think, £8:00p for 2 flat whites, and 2 slices of cake.
We were served by a lovely, cheerful and very friendly lady.
We couldn't ask for more.
The place was busy when we arrived, and I soon understood the reason for that. The food, and the portion sizes coming out of yhe kitchen were remarkable!
So if ever you are in the Sperrins direction, go there to eat.

Jaco Bean Coffee House

Went for Lunch here today! Needed to a changed of scenery from studying at home. Enjoyed my latte and the Jacobean House burger. Had easy access to Wi-Fi and charging-facilities. Cosy atmosphere and staff were friendly. Can’t wait to come back and try the Taco Loaded fries.Parking: Open carpark and free!

Mrs Browns fish and chips

I had chips, a pot of tea, bread and butter, service was quick and friendly the only downside was the boiled water for my tea was undrinkable due to an issue with drinking water in the Magherafelt area.
