Went there with family for a chat and lunch.We were warned that there was a staff shortage and service might be slow.When the food arrived it was well worth waiting for and we were all more than satisfied with our varying choices.My wife was really taken by the syrup sponge and custard which she declared was a dream. Lovely, friendly small country pub where a warm welcome is assured. The home cooked food is delicious and has that “I am loved and cared for” feel of genuine home cooking. NB Weds 8pm is the pub quiz - fun, not competitive and all welcome to join in!
Haven't been here for quite a few years so didn't know what to expect. Nicely decorated with good atmosphere and large garden. Dogs allowed. Very helpful barmaid. Good, varied selection of food and beer for such a small pub. Not very busy but food took a long time to arrive; I take that to indicate that it is largely freshly cooked to order.
