Staying locally so looked on Google for local places to eat and The Crown came up. Reviews looked very good so we booked a table for tonight (Friday). Although the menu is a bit limited what they offer is generous portions of well cooked, delicious food at reasonable prices. Couldn't believe the size of the fish!!2 Local beers enjoyed, both well kept, good cellar temperatures- a good pint!If you're interested in cars or motorbikes you'll love the decor. Excellent as ever …. The Steak pie is well worth the 70 mile round trip . Oh and a lovely pint of ale to was it down . About the 5th time I’ve made the trip and never disappointed. Nice staff.

Awesome place, great people, fantastic food and staff who were friendly and helpful. I particularly like the theme of the pub from the car's outside to the BSA bike above the fire. We will definitely return as this place is a hidden gem!.
