In my previous experiences here, I have had a lovely time. The food has been lovely and the service has been adequate. However, on my most recent visit here (only for tea and coffee. No food) I was left waiting for well over an hour for our drinks. Popped in for cocktails on a whim. Beautiful Christmas tree and decorations, lovely fire that the staff kept going and proper cocktails (2 for £12). Excellent service too - they offered to bring our drinks to our table rather than us waiting at the bar.
We were here for hubby's Christmas do ???. We had the festive party night menu at £40 pp (kindly paid for by employer) The food was hot, mostly well cooked (sprouts were almost raw) and served quickly. However, the menu choice was very poor.
