Kings Mill Farm - Dining & Carvery

I come here most weeks for a carvery with my mum and the staff and service are always great. The carvery is exceptional.
I was served by Bryony today who was just amazing - a real credit to the team.

Toby Carvery Watermill

Food was ok, the lamb tasted like chemicals, not sure what that was about. The atmosphere was a typical Sunday afternoon in a pub based restaurant, we did get sat near the kitchen door where we could hear the manic vibe, just about over the whining, piercing nose of the doors hinges which was enough to drive you insane.

The Woodend - Stonehouse

Came in today for a carvery got served by Morgan at the bar who was lovely and friendly. I then got lovely service from Leah . Would definitely come back again the food and service was brilliant! :)

Ocean Blue Fish Bar

Absolutely Brilliant Chippy. I'm a creature of habit. I always have what they call the evening special. Mini Fish, Chips, Sausage, and Gravy. Consistent quality every time. I drive past other Chip shops to come to Ocean Blue.

Travellers Rest

My husband and i called into the Travellers Rest yesterday after a day out shopping in Nottingham and wanted to have a nosey around as there are new owners. The place seems to have been cleaned top to bottom and was warm and inviting (we stayed for a few more than we intended!)
The new staff are really friendly and its a shame they are only there looking after it for a short period of time as they have introduced loads of new spirits behind the bar.

We will defo be coming back in here over the festive period.

Sea Pearl

If you’re hungry and craving some Chinese fast food, you can either call or simply walk into Seal Pearl in Mansfield ??
Just a heads-up — it’s online orders or takeaway only.

We tried calling first ?, but the line was constantly busy, so we walked in and placed our order ?‍♀️➡️?️. We ordered Beef in Schezwan sauce, Salt & Chilli Chicken, and Singapore Noodles ???.

The best part? Our order was ready in just 10 minutes ⏱️ — probably the fastest service we’ve had anywhere! ??
The food was delicious, full of flavour ?, and the portions were generous too ?️✨.

Fox & Crown

South African Rugby supporters came together on 16 Aug 2025 to watch the SA vs AUS game. Ashley and the staff were on point in making our members feel welcome. The food was quick out of the kitchens and tasted great. We had such a good time (despite the loss) we're back for more. Thank you Ashley and staff for a great and memorable afternoon.

Forest Road Chippy

My partner always tries to get us some Monday night cod, chips and peas from here! Absolutely the best in the area. Great food, friendly staff, incredible value. Can't ask for more. Everything is lovely and fresh. We avoid going anywhere else for our fish and chips because having a place this good, practically on our doorstep, is perfect.

Rani Indian Cuisine

Absolutely 5* food was perfect as was the service.
Extremely polite.
In this heat we have this summer it was a blessing that the restaurant was a perfect temperature, thats obviously forward thinking of the restaurant.

The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, Steven was polite and welcoming with a smile. He ensured we was seen to, the bar lady ensured all flexibility for food and managed to ensure gluten free options were met. The kitchen took care to ensure all gluten free food was served first and ensure we had food at a good pace. Small issues but all manageable by the team. \n\nThe food was fresh and tasty, I enjoyed the burgers and chips, they even got some.chillis to add a twist for myself.\n\nToilet facilities clean and tidy no issues, drinks served well with new flavours (Cherry and Vanilla).

The Bekash

Really great service. I got to know the resturant when explaining how fussy I am and being Indian. The resturant were so understanding and accomodating. I am pleased to have a local restaurant I can rely on for my weekly orders.

Birds Bakery

Birds Bakery in Sutton is a gem! The staff are friendly, the service is quick, and the pastries are always fresh and delicious. Their sausage rolls and cream cakes are a must-try. Highly recommend!

Greggs

It's greggs you know what you are getting. Until you order Too Good To Go. Sometimes you get lucky. Other times not so much... Don't do corned beef slices. But at the price, can't complain. Staff are mostly welcoming. Others just want to go home at end of a long day. Can't blame them. Recommended

Red Door Deli

The food is amazing with an excellent choice. My favourite is the chilli. But you can’t beat the breakfasts as they use decent bacon and excellent sausages, not the cheap ones! Very reasonable prices.Excellent service too.The girls work really hard to deliver the best food.

Birds

Good choice of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. Liked the addition of a hot counter and bought a sausage roll and bacon sandwich both of which were delicious. Looking forward to having my orange danish for dessert.

The Carnarvon

Highly recommend, in every way. Exquisite food ... quaint and classy furnishings (love The Ship Room, especially) ... and staff who go 'above and beyond'! A real gem.

Now THIS is a Chinese takeaway. Genuinely shocked how good it was. Dishes like the pork balls were flavourful without the need of sauce. The mixed meat fried rice had massive pieces of meat... they were not stingey with the meat. The chow mein was smokey and clean. I wish I lived in the area and have this as my local. Definitely try the satay sauce....it's a game changer

Lovely Jubbly Kebab House

Recently moves into the area... best kerbs our family has had in a long time! Very friendly! Very clean, fairly priced and the portions are decent! Not go anywhere else now! 5star ?

Golden Dragon

Recently moved to the area and have tried a few Chinese takeaways. Golden Dragon is by far my favourite. The food was hot, tasted amazing and they even through in a few freebies! Honestly can’t recommend enough. I’ve definitely found my go to!

Yummy Chicken & Pizza

Chicken is really nice, especially the batter they use. I prefer it to KFC, and it is now our go to whenever we are craving chicken ? We have ordered a fair few times now and never had anything to complain about. Fast delivery, delivery drivers are polite and the food is always bang on

The Bengal Lounge

Went last night with friends,, was busy so took a while for the food but when it come it was lovely, really tasty and hot, definitely gonna try again for a takeaway!! Nice place the ladies were busy serving but very polite.

The Picture House - JD Wetherspoon

The place inside is a little worn and would benefit from a refurb, the food is cheap and cheerful, but also is cooked well tasty and at a low price just let me any other wetherspoon pub the atmosphere is ok but can get a little loud, depending on what day you're there

KFC Sutton in Ashfield - Forest Street

I came to try the new gym shark rice box, this was so tasty and the perfect meal for lunch. A massive shout out to Yvette for the amazing customer service. She went above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant experience. The restaurant itself was very pleasant and clean 5 stars
