The Horse Shoe
Bridge St, BamptonMy wife and I had called in here on Saturday 16th September to see if we could grab a bite to eat and a drink. Unfortunately at lunchtime they did not do any food but did kindly suggest another local place for us to eat at. After about an hour or so we returned to have a drink in the bar area and relax in what we thought was a superb traditional local pub which just had so much character. One of the locals made us feel very welcome and came over and had a chat with us both for about 10 minutes. He gave us some local history info and mentioned about the village and its links with the tv program Downton Abbey. All in all a very nice visit and if we were ever in the area again we would not hesitate in calling in. Thank you.

Bampton Coffee House
Market Sq, BamptonMet a friend here today and was pleasantly surprised at the size of it inside, very roomy, my coffee was nice and I love the fact that they bring your drinks over to you, as me and my friend both have MS, this is a small thing that really helps remove the anxiety of will I spill it if I try and carry it to the table, and for me that is reason for a 5 star all day as some places will bring it to you but it’s not nice when you have to ask,
I would 100% recommend and I will most definitely be back.

Burford Rd, Black Bourton, BamptonGo there every Wednesday to meet up with a motor bike group, a pint & a coffee nice Woodburn g fires lit every night, they are still renovating some rooms & no food apart from breakfasts at the moment that should change soon they hope.

ye olde swan, Radcot, Bamptonthis is a pretty decent pub to go to if your local, the food is good and the prices are cheap. there is plenty of options in the food and drink menu as well as loads of different seating options. the staff are also quick and friendly.
