25 High St, Benson, WallingfordHad a wonderful Sunday morning at No25. I got the carrot cake which was heavenly - not too sweet but sweet enough, and beautifully presented with flower petals on top. I also got the Spanish pistachio latte which isn't for me I think, but it was very well made as far as the craftsmanship goes! It even had a beautiful latte art heart on top. All the staff had a smile on their faces and made you feel really welcome, and you get to watch the lively but quiet Benson village centre living its life while you're drinking your coffee. Would so recommend this place to anyone who wants a cosy time out the house!Parking: Not too many spots but you can normally find at least one. Or you can park around the corner somewhere and walk a minute or two to the cafe which is definitely always doableKid-friendliness: Many kids in the cafe, many tables that can seat families, lots of sweet treats on offer and ample space for pushchairs

Common Room Bistro
Ewelme, WallingfordIt was a first visit to the Shepherds Hut for our friends and they loved it. The service and menu choices pleased all. The fresh water and treats for our dogs was greatly appreciated. Our meals were spot on and it made the perfect way to finish our circular walk around this historic and beautiful village.

35 High St, Benson, WallingfordMy favourite fish and chip shop! Myself and my family prefer this over the one we have local to us, better food, better prices and more options to choose from. Would recommend ? My sons love the Southern fried chicken, generous size portions too!

Thursdays is currently 'burger night' - my wife had a delicious mushroom 'burger', while I had a classic burger. All burgers are £12, then you add your choice of sides, e.g. skin on fries are £3.50, coleslaw £1.
