Blounts Ct Rd, Sonning Common, ReadingHad a great lunch here yesterday - 2 lamb Sunday roasts, 1 mushroom and spinach Wellington, all served with roast potatoes, parsnips, veggies and gravy; our 4th family member had fish and chips. Ok, so the service was a little slow due to chef making the batter from scratch. But it was obviously all home -cooked and we were kept up to date by the pleasant and attentive lady behind the bar. So, why wasn’t it busier? Locals - passers by - use it or lose it!

Bird in Hand Sonning Common
Peppard Rd, Sonning Common, ReadingVisited with my friend in a wheelchair last week to enjoy the festive menu. Was not disappointed. What a lovely little pub with delicious food, friendly and helpful staff and a lovely big car park which is free to visitors. You just need to add your numberplate to the little tablet on the bar and can then relax and enjoy.Would highly recommend and will visit again when in the neighbourhood.
