We came by couple of times whilst visiting Oxford. This pub has it all. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Which creates a great atmosphere. We felt really welcome. As for the food - OMG! Hats off to the chef. My husband and I are quite fussy when it comes to food. But on both occasions both thumbs up. Try steak - It was perfect. We were a group of 11 tonight who enjoyed the sizzling prawns, mussels, pork schnitzel and (our favourite) the venison wellington! All the dishes were very tasty indeed? Thank you also to our server (tall lady, unfortunately we didn't get her name) who was an absolute superstar and deserves much praise! We will be back ?

Food was amazing in there. Has a big sharing roast beef and was some of the best beef I have ever ever had in my life. Staff very friendly and would recommend to anyone for a Sunday roast. Very lively
