Beneth'Ill Cafe
Hoy, StromnessBeneth’ill cafe was an unexpected but very welcome pit stop for our day of hiking on Hoy.
We stopped here for a coffee and a cake at the start of the day. Headed out to Rackwick, and then stopped off back at the cafe on the way back for what felt like a well earn’t meal and drink.
The quality of food was of a very high standard, exceeding that of a lot of traditional restaurants in busier locations.
The OYSTERS were some of the best I have had and the steak sandwich was tasty too.
The staff were very friendly with a good sense of humour. They made us feel welcome in a location that is very remote.
Great place for an end of day beer!

The Skerries Restaurant
Harray Loch, OrkneyFantastic fresh seafood and varied menu. Beautifully cooked with good sized portions and supported by attentive, well informed, but not intrusive staff. Outstanding meal, thoroughly enjoyed - couldn’t manage dessert!
Go if you can, but would recommend booking ahead, certainly in high season, to avoid disappointment. Well supported by locals tells you it’s something special.

The Pier Bistro & Takeaway
22 Victoria St, StromnessPopped into the Pier Bistro for a well-earned bowl ? of homemade lentil soup ? and a cappuccino.. we were absolutely blown away with the cleanliness and pleasant service from all of the staff they were amazing, welcoming, friendly, and polite. And the soup was pipping hot delicious ?.

A965, Stenness, StromnessLovely little Ice Cream shop with very nice Ice Cream. The lady was very pleasant which was nice as I went to a store in Finstown the other day for Ice Cream and they where not so nice.

Skara Brae Cafe
2 Skaill Cottages, Sandwick, StromnessWe had some lovely cakes, though never tried anything else, it was really busy but that was to be expected with it being a popular tourist spot.Hats off to the staff for managing the high turnover so well.

Stromness Chinese Takeaway
63 Victoria St, StromnessDecided last minute to decide on a takeaway meal as we were staying on the nearby campervan site and we'll pleased we did. Well cooked, very tasty and crammed with ingredients. Big thumbs up from us and would recommend a visit.
