Windhaven, Brough, ThursoThis is a cracking wee site. I was booking on the go while I was touring and this place was recommended by the folks at Crofters Snug. What a result. I was welcomed to the site like an old friend and the view from the pitch was totally amazing. Okay it was a bit blowy but it is the North Coast!!! The dog walking area was brilliant and my boy goind the Muddy ditch!! Would definitely go back

Castletown Chip Shop
MacKay St, Castletown, ThursoFish and chips very good.Freshly cooked and hot.Very busy at 6.30pm on Friday.There was quite a long wait of about 30 minutes from ordering.It would have been nice if the cashier had explained the likely waiting time at point of sale because it became apparent they already had some large phone orders in the queue.We eventually drove down to the beach with our food and enjoyed it immensely.Worth waiting for ?

DK Chinese Takeaway
Castletown, ThursoI pulled in to go to the chippy next door but they were closed as Sunday, but DK's was open. Really good chips, really good sweet & sour chicken strips, and good egg fried rice too (that's all I had). Not too expensive, friendly and quick, piping hot and tasty, thank you ?
