Devitas Pizzareia
97 High St, WickThis is a small restaurant with tables separated by sections making it little difficult to get in and out. The staff spoke between themselves quite loudly and it was obvious when there was a bit of a dispute. The atmosphere would be much improved if you couldn’t overhear all of their discussions when dining. The food however was great!

Bridge Street Cafe
29 Bridge St, WickThis cafe has a selection of hot and cold sandwiches and other lunch items. The breads and ingredients are all very fresh and homemade. Have carry out available for a picnic. Pleasant wait staff. Bistro style indoor dining. The best part is the most wonderful Empire cookies in the country. Great shortbread, but just the right frosting glaze and jam inside. They're also prettier than most empire cookies . Price was comparable for most non-chain sandwich shops

Blackstairs Lounge
20 Breadalbane Terrace, WickWhat an amazing experience! We all had curry's and shared a side of salt and chilli chips with curry sauce. The Madras was great, so tasty and perfectly spiced. My wee girl loved the chicken tikka massalla. I've eaten here a few times recently and the food is always fresh and tasty. The chinese salt and chilli dishes are great, even better than the chinese! Sit in and takeaway are both excellent. I can't recommend this place highly enough, top service and top grub!

Mountain Dew Bar
26 Smith Terrace, WickVery local pub with a nice feel. It’s not a central one, so takes a little bit of exploring in the town to find it. This is not a typical big city bar or anything like that, but authenticity and local culture are the main factors I love places like this.

Meiklejohns Confectioners - sweets and tobacco
5 Thurso St, Wickwhat a great little sweetie shop this is, they sell a lot of the old fashioned sweets that were popular 'long ago' all in big jars on loads of shelves. they also sell ice cream from capaldi's of Brora, which is most delicious. they have the sunday papers so when you in for them why not treat your self to a sweetie to enjoy on the way home.

Harpers Bar
Back Bridge St, WickDeterring from the outside, very nice inside with a great atmosphere. The prices are great and the service was great too and even made us a drink which she had to google first because she didn't know it. When I then asked for a cider, she even let us try it for free!It was a bit strange that there was no music playing.

Flavours John O'Groats
2 The Craft Centre, WickThis place is the highlight of John O' Groats! Even on a cold, grey, drizzly day it is worth venturing in to sample some of their flavours. We did so and loved it.

Caithness Coffee Company
Bruce Building, Sinclair Terrace, Wick(Only cash accepted) What a tiny little place in the heart of the small town of Wick! I still can’t believe such a places still exists. The atmosphere is unique. Don’t expect a fancy café, the place feels like an old small library where you go back in time. You get one table where, if you’re lucky, you’ll meet amazing people from all over the world in their tour around northern Scotland. Fair prices, too, and fresh roasted coffee.

The Crown Bar
95 High St, WickThis is the bar which started my lifelong journey into Scotch whisky 27 years ago and after all that time, I want to thank the Crown for starting that journey. We had a great night and the Old Poultney is still up there with the greatest. Twelve and a half days later we had cycled to Lands End and were still talking about that night. And I still am ...

Camps Bar
128-132 High St, WickMy partner and I stopped in on the last night of out nc500 lap and could not have finished of the trip any better. We arrived a little curious about the exterior but once greeted inside we were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and felt like we were meeting old friends rather then making new ones. Vicky first greeted us at the bar and took us upstairs towards the room and to meet our host Callum. He could not have been a more welcoming and comforting bloke if he tried. We checked in and headed to the bar for a beer after a big day. Vicky was great and we threw conversation back and forth all night while inviting us to finish our takeaway downstairs with a pint. Despite a few older reviews I could not stress this accommodation enough, We had the wicks room with a great view of the bridge and everything was super tidy and organised. Thanks again!Parking: Easy free parking directly across the road

The Great Wall
Dempster St, WickLove their food and good portion sizes and not long waits even when busy you only wait bout 20 mins longer.Good value for the prices the food here costs and we get from here often but our only thing we dont like about them is that they dont do the online orders like all the other fast food take-aways do.Have to put my hand up that I would buy from here WAAAY more is if they went online like the rest have as for us its a 15 min walk and it rains a lot here. But despite that I still love this take-away more than the rest and at least it's a healthy short walk. And yes im in Old Pultyny hence the walk. It's my 41st birthday today and going here again today for my birthday take-away with my family and nip home with it all for the family.Vegetarian options: good oprions for vegetarians without the meat and I sometimes go for these when im in the mood for a chinese take-away without the fatty foods as I try to ballance my food habbits as put on a bit of weight so the healthy option is good.Parking: it's basicly street parking so there is always a few spaces either right outside the shop or a few meteres up the street or round the street corner.

Spice Tandoori Wick
2 The Shore, WickVery delicious meal. Excellent service. We ordered papadams, the pickle tray, lamb Jalfrezie, lamb Satkora, and they recommended the Peshwari Naan. We had leftover food for the next day and so we ordered another Peshwari naan to be taken along with it as it was delicious. The food was hot, well spiced, and great value. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will come back when next in Wick.

Supreme Fish Bar & Fast Food
7 Bridge St, WickI have to be totally honest, I was not expecting my fish & chips to taste so good, but they did. The chips were nice like chips from the chippy should be. The fish was large and chunky in a light crisp batter. I tried the so called best fish & chip shop in the North of Scotland last week, and it was disgusting. Tonight my partner treated me to fish & chips from Suprems in Bridge Street, Wick, in my opinion they are the best fish & chips not only in Wick, but in the North of Scotland! We will be back now that I have finally found a great fish & chip shop. Keep up the good work guys.Edit 28th July 2022I have now tried the nan kebabs, I have to say, they are the best lamb tikka and chicken tikka kebabs I have tasted. Supreme is the best fish bar and fast food I have been to in a very long time, worth moving from Glencoe to Cairhness for ?. The quality has been top notch over at least 7 visits now. And the staff are always friendly and helpful. Sadly I can't leave a review on foodhub because we always drive to the shop to order and to leave a review you have to order via the app. Do yourself a favour, have a break from cooking and order a delicious takeaway ?

THE ALEXANDER BAIN
WickAfter being refused at Wickers World (why no apostrophe???) and Morag's as we have a very well behaved dog, ended up here. Wetherspoons may be named after Boss Hogg (JD) but no mean squeezin' here. I thought all Wetherspoons didn't allow dogs but this one does. A delicious and good value hot chocolate. Cheers JD. ?

Bombay Spice
27 Bridge St, Wicksome people can't speak english very well so they come across as unfriendly but the people that speak english are very nice and helpful especially a young girl that worked at the front, it was very busy the shop was packed with about 15 people and the phone was going off once every minute and she handles it very well, told us that the kitchen is running behind and was very sweet, when she took over and handles the orders they came out a little faster, i had to wait very long for my order but i understand because busy, the food was very good and tasted fresh and not oily which is hard to find with indian food
