Empire State Coffee Shop is a great little Cafe in Dundee City centre. Situated on Whitehall Crescent, just behind Malmaison Hotel and very close to the V&A museum, it has a great ambience and friendly staff. There was a lovely selection of fresh food, including Bagels, panini and a sourdough Croissant I really enjoyed. I was previously unfamiliar with Empire State Coffee but popped in because it was open at the early time I wanted to have breakfast. I ordered a bacon roll and latte. You could taste the difference in the quality of the coffee. I was delighted with the quantity and quality of crispy bacon in my roll. I was able to sit down and have my breakfast brought to me. Found this place a month ago while passing through Dundee on the was back down to the central belt.The pastries, food, and coffee are all excellent.The coffee they roast is so good, I commuted up from the central belt to buy a bigger bag of beans.The staff are also all lovely and the cafe itself is nice. Not anything super fancy but still a lovely spot.I think I’ll be returning to Dundee just for this place :D
