Came here for Xmas Eve dinner, Turkey dinner was a little bland but 3 courses overall pretty good and excellent value. Nice selection of starters and puds. Couldn't fault the service.

Jim Clark Cafe Bistro

Lovely cafe bistro in the centre of Duns. Food and coffee were excellent, service very friendly and ambience very pleasant. We were very cold when we arrived after cycling across the Lammermuirs in testing conditions, but after our stop here we felt fully revived and ready to go again. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great meal. The steak and ale pie was really, really good as were the vegetables and as for the sticky toffee pudding ... hmmmm! The decor is very simple - a well maintained, clean but fairly basic pub - but don't be discouraged, the food quality is equal to any smart London restaurant. And excellent value for money too.

Small shop, but great stuff and good service. Quality fish at little more (and often less) than local supermarket junk - same for eggs and other stuff. Also great made-to-order rolls.

We visited today and sat outside with our dogs. Not dog friendly inside.Delicious sandwiches freshly made for a reasonable cost.Staff were pleasant and friendly.Worth a visit.

The China Palace

I really can't understand where all of the negative reviews are coming from for this Chinese?I have eaten at this Chinese around three times and have always had lovely cooked Chinese meals.The only downside is the length of time it takes for your order to be made. With one hour not been unusual for a wait. I suppose the weight demonstrates that they are cooking things from fresh?Yes there is better Chinese but there is a lot worse too.Give it a go I'm sure you will agree that is perfectly acceptable.

Golden Fish Takeaway

I missed 4 of their calls and hung up on them when I thought my alarm was going off (that I had set to check if they had phoned) and even after all that they were all so nice to me. Didn’t seem bothered by the wait at all but I still feel so bad. Great people with great food and I apologise for the inconvenience I caused.
