It's been pretty much the same for decades. Beer was good.All the old guys that used to frequent the place when I first went there 55 years ago have been replaced by people who look like me. Amazing.
Loved this pub atmosphere very good bar staff excellent prices ok for an Edinburgh pub clean went for a works night out and everyone there enjoyed themselves definitely be back thank you all at Mather'

Went for a drink there on Sunday with the wife what a great pub staff were brilliant young girl who Was really chatty. We are from South Wales up in Scotland on a Xmas break met some nice people from Newcastle had a laugh and a chat. The whole place was really friendly and felt comfortable being there. Will go there again when in Edinburgh in the summer.
