What a great little place this is. A really excellent range of local and not so local beers. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was really good. It was really busy when we arrived around 7pm but was a bit quieter from around 8:00pm onwards, although it was a Thursday evening. Would definitely call again next time we're in town.
Great selection of beers; everything from sours, stouts and porters to pale ales. Friendly staff and vegan- and allergy-friendly menu. The kitchen accommodated my girlfriend's egg and milk-protein allergies with no issues. 5 stars and maybe starting to fade a bit. So many do. The bar is amazing. The beer is amazing...big kudos to the fabulous 6% house lager and American hop head beers. However, when you get to over £9 for a third of beer on the board that is not rare world class aged German or Belgium (or even aged Scottish) ...it risks becoming a bit silly. Stay strong Hanging Bat!
