Main St, GolspieI took a while before writing this review\nThe Trawler was the first fish and chips I had in Scotland.\nWe stopped at The Trawler because of its reputation of The Best Fish and Chips in Scotland.\nI can now confirm: The Trawler does have the best fish and chips in Scotland.\n\nThe Trawler is a very simple place: take out only.\nThe fish was a very generous thick filet of haddock, perfectly cooked in the batter (I discarded most of the batter). The chips were just a perfect.

Main St, GolspieI can’t fault the food, which is really good. But what is bad actually really bad are the opening hours. You cannot really on the stated opening hours as it differs from days to days. Sadly with no noticed. You certainly cannot make arrangements to have for example an evening and then find out of the blue that the shop is yet again closed. On this point they are very and totally unreliable.
