Holy Loch Marina, Rankin's Brae, Sandbank, DunoonNice friendly place to drop in for a coffee. We didn't have food but others were and it looked really nice. We didn't know it was there so was a nice surprise finding this cafe when walking along avoiding rain storms.

The Coylet Inn
A815, Coylet, DunoonAbsolutely gorgeous and a true local experience. Hidden gem to be sure! We ventured out to eat dinner not knowing what we were getting into. The service was spot on (super kind, friendly and accommodating). The atmosphere was BEAUTIFUL- rustic Scotish hunting lodge with local venison on the menu (a must try!), super clean and well appointed. Our table overlooked Loch Eck and an enormous waterfall, and our table was close to a cozy fire which was lovely. Absolutely stunning! The food was delicious and a great value. We are already planning a return and can't recommend this place enough.

Redwood Coffee at Benmore Botanic Garden
Botanic Garden, Benmore, DunoonNot what we expected on our first visit. Stornoway Black pudding stacks were delicious as were lorne sausage roll Great coffee, Girls at stall were terrific.
Now the indoor seating area and gift shop combine with the ticket desk. The ticket desk girls were amazingly helpful and friendly
However I do have one complaint.All of these places of interest i visit share this problem and that is outrageously tourist rip off prices for goods on sale Two examples (see pics) a small jar of heather honey which is not even Manuca is way overpriced at £13. Worse still is a simple beeny hat admittedly good quality wool but priced at quite frankly an insulting £45?
Get real,my friend was wearing one today warm and acceptable
8 times cheaper than those selling here.Its blatant profiteering.I will not buy anything,on principle from tourist gift shops anywhere. Fools and their money are easily parted.Well sorry, not this fool?

Hunters Bar & Grill
Hunters Quay, Kirn, DunoonHad a really nice meal here during are stay at the caravan park it was very nice we both enjoyed it very much but most importantly were the staff they were so polite and so happy which made the experience more enjoyable I've never seen such happy and polite staff which is such a massive bonus. I had a really nice time here thank you very much! ???

Oakfield Kebab & Fast food
Oakfield Pl, Sandbank, DunoonWe order for delivery, about once a week, where like all take outs, some days are better than others. But…The food is always fresh & hot, with decent sized portions for the price. The delivery charge is fair, and generally delivered within a decent time frame. My wife likes spicy, white I go for omelettes, pasta, scampi or a baked potato, & for our grandson the children’s menu is perfect. Consistency with reading the requests would be good, but the Oakfield is definitely recommended, & to be honest, I would be rather pathetic to take a star off for that! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
