I read the reviews here when booking accommodations, and a few reviews weren't the kindest, so I was a little unsure as I booked the twin room with a shared bathroom. It was the first time I've ever booked with a shared bathroom. So here was my experience.Upon arriving, we found a dedicated parking lot with a parking space for each room. Good place to rest up for the night ? on the NC500 route, parking space opposite the pub. Good value rooms no meals but well equipped kitchen available. Evening meals served downstairs in the pub. Excellent steak and home cooked meals. Well worth stopping at and spending a few hours walking around Helmsdale. Enjoy ? ii

Ended up running very late (owner) stayed up till midnight to let us in. And also let us stay a lot later than check out because I was waiting for a mechanic. Couldn't have been nicer the young woman who was waiting to clean the room made sure we had everything we needed as we waited. Couldn't have been nicer. Thank you so much Bannockburn inn.
