Got a voucher from my daughter and son-in-law as they know we love it here. As usual the staff were very friendly and helpful . They let my husband taste the special beers before ordering, which he thought was helpful. Travelled from Australia to meet up with friends at The Weston. What a lovely friendly place. A very extensive menu. Had a delicious meal of roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. Beautifully presented. A large portion which was cooked to perfection. Had a delightful cocktail for dessert. An after eight, a tasty mint cocktail with a kick. Service was quick and attentive which added to the great experience. Well worth trying. Hopefully will come back one day when I return to Scotland.
On my grand tour of Scotland this June, I feared that no restaurants north of the boarder, used vegetables or only served children size portions. Normality, has resumed here. Huge portions, plenty of vegetables and really tasty food, I enjoyed the stewing steak, My husband equally enjoyed his chicken and prawn sizzler.
