74 Lothian St, and, Lasswade, BonnyriggGigi’s in Bonnyrigg deserves every star. The chateaubriand main course was perfectly cooked, tender and full of flavour. For pudding, the affogato was rich and balanced, and the tiramisu beautifully light. Outstanding Italian food throughout. Special thanks to our waitress Nadine, whose friendly, attentive service made the whole experience memorable. We will definitely be returning soon and recommending it widely locally.

The Melville Inn
Melville Nurseries, LasswadeIf an 18thcentury coaching inn could come to life, it would be the Melville Inn. Although a relatively new building, its open fires and cosy neuks give a convincing feeling of inns gone-by. At the same time it is decorated with the stylish flair to make many city eateries envious.
As for food, the Melville Inn sets its sights high, with a menu a notch or two well above most gastro pubs. Flawlessly attentive service yesterday from Terri and Cole made lunch a memorable experience.
