I went to the restaurant with a family of six adults and everyone agreed this was an exceptional experience. The food could not be faulted and the hostess was brilliant at making everyone feel at home. The angel fish was to die for and the apple crumble was delicious. We will be back on our next trip to Tralee Bay.
So good we went twice in our weeks stay in Oban. Not the largest menu but some interesting dishes along with some classics. Really friendly and un-rushed. Tenderest gammon I have evere eaten. The quality of the food is to die for. You will not be disappointed.

I absolutely love the restaurant. A visit to Benderloch is not complete without a visit to Hawthorn Restaurant. Food is outstanding, home cooke, sorry, no pictures, never quick enough! Favourite is the black pudding bon bons when on special. Hosts are friendly and always have time for a chat. Family tradition, last night stay dinner is always at the Hawthorn.
