We stayed here for two nights in early September, in a front facing seaview room. The setting is idyllic and the sunsets on both evenings were fantastic. The room was modern, well equipped, with a comfortable bed & lovely bathroom. It was rather small but suited us for a short stay. We were very taken with the electronic window blind. It was very quiet - just 2 other people in the bar. The restaurant was closed but food was available in the bar. I had travelled an hour to have lunch here based on good reviews and was very disappointed. I ordered steak pie and there didn’t appear to be any ready, I waited an hour for food to arrive. The bar waitress was apologetic and polite but didn’t offer a drink or any other token of apology. When the food came it was just ok, certainly not worth the journey or the wait....read full review

We had no advanced reservation and turned up after a long walk hoping they had a table which thankfully they did. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant. Food was great, very flavoursome and very nicely presented too. Staff were attentive and diligent. All in all, we had a very pleasant experience combined with the view over the harbour at sunset.
