W Tirindrish, Spean BridgeI loved my recent visit to Glen Spean Brewing Co, where Ian Peter MacDonald and James Leggatt brew some of Scotland’s best craft beers in a converted Highland steading. In their rustic tasting room you can work your way through their beers – including malty amber, hoppy IPA and rich porter with just a touch of blackcurrant and vanilla (my fave) – to find the brew that's right for you. And buy some to take home for further study too of course!
I also love the Highland views on the drive to and from their gorgeous location in Lochaber.

Gairlochy, Road, Spean BridgeOld Pines is a perfect destination. An independent Restaurant with Rooms. In an iconic Highland position with easy access to Mountains, Lochs, Rivers and Forest. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. The dinner service is impeccable and the Food is FABULOUS.

Old Station Restaurant
shire, Station Rd, Spean Bridge, InvernessWhilst recently staying in Glencoe we visited this amazing restaurant for their superb Sunday Carvery. It was our very first visit and we were so impressed with not only the food, but with the warm welcome we received and excellent customer service and the attentive nature of the waiting staff. This first impression meant that we visited a further two evenings for meals which were also outstanding. We can both highly recommend this restaurant to others considering visiting it. We will certainly be back when we are next staying in the area for more Scottish hospitality and excellent food.
