Meal for 2 £140We visited the Riverhouse for 1st time yesterday as we had been gifted as a wedding present. We are foster parents and do often get out on our own. The restaurant is lovely as were the cocktails unfortunately service was very slow and food wasnt good. We had steaks which we asked for medium/ rare when arrived they looked, as I said 'crispy'. Location and restaurant absolutely beautifully. I have went for Christmas dinner on 23rd December 2023.The staff were very friendly. Restaurant was very clean.Disappointed with food, as christmas dinner food has no flavour at all.Coffee needs improvement. We visited on the 4th January and loved The River House.The menu was diverse with plenty options, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. For starters we had Scallops and Praws. Both dishes were presented nicely and tasted brilliant.For mains we had the Wagyu Burger and the Ribeye steak. Again, both massively exceeded expectations.
