Great value food in a historic building very central in Ludlow . Staff helpful and welcoming . The menu is good pub grub and our choices steak pie and sausage and mash were well priced nicely cooked with good selection of veg and huge portions. Recommended
Very nice pub, but only one real ale available on hand pull. Plenty of lagers (if you like that sort of thing). We had a lunchtime meal and was really impressed with the chicken pie, mash, greens & gravy. As seems normal - it’s not cheap, but nothing is in these times. Would definitely go there again.

My brother and I went here for lunch, on the spur of the moment, and thoroughly enjoyed the food served, the service and the general cleanliness and ambience of this historical pub/restaurant. The food, including the vegetarian dish (Halloumi Burger with side salad, onion rings and fries), was a real treat and really recommendable..
