Lovely friendly pub and restaurant. The staff were very attentive and efficient. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it . I had a chicken and mushroom dish from the specials board , it came with well cooked veg and a choice of potato. I highly recommend this pub/ restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Lots of meals on the menu offered a gluten free option .
Very accommodating staff. We arrived by Narrowboat without booking and the landlady went to great effort to fit us in. We had a cracking Sunday dinner. I had the Pork that melted in the mouth and the cracking was just perfect. Lots of vegetables. Good beer too. We will certainly call again. Many thanks.

40+ years ago I used to pass this pub in my mate's dad's MK1 Granada on our way to North Wales.Finally made it inside.Glad we did.Lovely sandwiches. Go for the crab or the club...Hopefully I'll be on the A5 again in the next 40 years ?
