It's not somewhere I would usually go to. Down to the fact I'm getting too old for partying. Called in late one sat night. It cost a few quid to get in which was fair enough. Staff were o.k and so were the prices for drinks. The atmosphere was good with a few suspicious suspects. The music played was house, funky house, dance. A decent selection of music. Visited on a Friday night. Usually really enjoyed coming here however to enter, have my bag searched and be physically padded down! I was with a group so went along with it but to say we were all shocked was an understatement. Not sure what they were expecting to find, you wouldn't find drugs like that but it wasn't a pleasant experience and I really didn't feel it was necessary. It was a great venue but when ordering drinks I was shocked to be served doubles when I was ordering spirits. If I had wanted a double i would have ordered a double. If it is a standard practice then a notice should be visible advising of this. As a diabetic I had planned my drinking but instead I was put into a situation which I had not planned for due to being served doubles without them being requested.
