After a late afternoon stroll around the town, we decided to call in this pub for a couple of pre dinner drinks. I don’t normally review drinking establishments but this one merited the exception. Walking in from the cold outside air, the warmth in the pub was lovely ranging from the temperature to the welcome from Sam. She was excellent. Lovely fresh sandwiches with salad and well cooked chips. Nice pint of Eagle IPA and very pleasant service. Decent prices as well. They get 4.3 on google which I think is nearer the mark.

We went on Easter weekend and it was busy everywhere. Managed to get the last table and ordered food. Two meals for £16. I had hunters chicken and due to the cheapness wasn't expecting a lot but it was lovely. Staff friendly, quirky pub and we would definitely return.
