Old Hand & Diamond, ShrewsburyWhat a gem! Nicki, Ian and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming, went above and beyond to look after us. We stayed for a night and had an evening meal and breakfast.
Gorgeous food- we had the most delicious chicken and chorizo homemade pies and a lovely breakfast. Wonderful setting and our room was stunning and spacious. Thank you!

Halfway Diner
A458, Halfway House, ShrewsburyGreat place for a pit stop. Always stop for sausage egg and chips, always freshly cooked, and cooked spot on, well above what you'd normally expect.
The chips especially are very good and consistent, reheated ones give me indigestion, however these are always perfect. Prices are very fair too.
Proper mug of tea too.
Toilets have fairly recently been refurbished,and everywhere is spotless.
Dinkys down the road used to be my compulsory pit stop when heading into mid Wales, however not anymore, this is better.
Be aware that it's cash only, however there is a free to use cash machine outside.
